UP-N-OUT SAFETY LADDERS IN BC & ALBERTA CANADA

Please contact us for a Safety Ladder quote.

The UP-N-OUT is the first ladder designed specifically as a safety ladder for marina docks to provide a safe, secure exit from the water for "accidental" swimmers when deployed in areas around slips, gas docks and other dock areas.

Dock Safety Ladder    ::    Dinghy Ladder    ::    Boat Ladder

Made with all stainless steel components for use in salt and fresh water, the UP-N-OUT has been tested to support 1000 lbs. Because of its unique design the ladder stores collapsed in a compact 22" profile until deployed in an emergency situation. When deployed by pulling the yellow step into the water, the steps extend from 29" to 47" (based on dock freeboard), and extend out and away from the dock to make the first step easier to reach. There are 5 steps, each with a standard 12" rise.

After use, the ladder is simply collapsed to its storage position up and out of the water. All ladders are labeled as safety ladders only to discourage other uses.

The UP-N-OUT is constructed of stainless steel components with superior RIE marine coated bolts. The top anchoring plate installs first with four self-tapping torque head bolts. The ladder steps install next through the top plate and the support braces and our secured with cotter pins for ease of installation while providing a tampering-proof fit. The anchoring plate is powder-coated with a high visibility yellow Innotek polyarmor coating.

Ladders deploy by simply pulling down on the yellow step and extending to full length (29" to 47" depending on dock freeboard). The first step is designed to reach out and away from the dock for easy access to first step. As weight is added the ladder will stiffen with minimal deflection toward the dock.

Custom versions also available for tidal areas and fixed tier dock systems.

Design & Construction:

  - Easy to install on docks
  - Stainless steel construction
  - Unique bend in step holds
    it in stored position
  - Bend also keeps steps rigid
    with minimal deflection in use
  - High visibility coloring and
    safety labeling
  - Tested to support 1000 lbs.
  - Tamper-proof but detachable
    steps for seasonal storage
    or dock maintenance

Functionality:

  - Stores compactly at 22" when
    not in use
  - Bottom step within easy reach
    from the water
  - Extends 29" to 47" depending
    on freeboard
  - First step reaches out to user;
no kick under like chain ladders
  - Five steps, 12" rise
